The Indian International School student becomes the beacon in the Qirat Competition

It was a moment of pride, when our Grade 7 student, Riya Sufiyan won the 2nd prize in the Qirat (Qur'an Recitation) competition, one of the categories of the fifth annual Islamic Youth Expo, an inter-school competition, hosted by Dubai Scholars Private School on 15th January 2023.

The solemn gathering of participants from approximately 15 schools, provided an opportunity to students to demonstrate their reciting skill of the Holy Quran and their ability to connect to Islam. Riya Sufiyan outperformed her competitors in the knowledge and understanding of the Surah and in the delivery of the sacred narrative.
