The Indian International School – DSO “The Maverick Readers” make a Miraculous Victory

Living by the quote, our erudite readers of The Indian International School have proved their triumph once more in the annual Chevron Readers' Cup competition held by the Emirates Literature Foundation, continuing the legacy of winning in 2020 and 2023.

The finalists - Sarvesh Vignesh, Ivin Jacob Mathew from grade 5; Bhav Kartik Jindal from grade 4 and Nafeesa Ebrahim Kutty from grade 3, bagged the first prize in the event, competing with 20 finalists' teams across the GCC, the second and third position held by The Winchester School, Jebel Ali and Gems Our Own School, Dubai respectively.

An aggressive yet thoughtful preparation for over 6 months, mutual cooperation, leadership, passion and determination were the keys to their success.

The final round (written) took place at Inter Continental, Dubai Festival City, followed by an Award Ceremony on a grand stage on Wednesday, 1st February '23. The eminent dignitaries who felicitated the event were Ms. Isobel Abulhoul OBE – CEO and Trustee of the Emirates Literature Foundation. Ms. Renu Sharma – General Manager – Middle East JV's and Aviation Country Chair – UAE, Ms. Ahlam Bolooki – Director of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature and Managing Director of ELF Publishing and Mr. Muhammad Al Sadek, Commercial and Government Relations Manager, Chevron.
