Meet Gauri Nanda, who made The Indian International School-DSO proud at the ‘Young Achiever Award’

12th March 2023, 7pm, Sheraton Hotel Dubai, will remain unforgettable for our student Gauri Nanda Salu, who just appeared for her grade 10 board exam.

She was chosen as the winner of the Young Achiever Award by the Universal Record Forum for her exceptional versatility. The Universal Record Forum, a premier awarding agency in India announced their first global awards in March 2023. The awards are given in recognition of Indians, living in India and abroad, for their achievements and contributions in their respective fields.

Gauri’s book titled ‘Enigma of the Soul’, an anthology of poems was published during the Sharjah International Book Fair 2022. Her outstanding performance in the grand finale of the World Scholars Cup (WSC) held in Yale University, U.S.A. in November 2022, her winning of the Spelling Bee Champion title at the U.A.E national level and at the GCC level are some of the great feats that presented her in good stead for this prestigious award. Other significant accomplishments of this young enterprising student comprise of the Math Bee and Abacus Champion title at the national level, recognition as the best delegate in the school’s Model United Nations, and her contributions as a member of the Children’s Forum in the Indian Social Centre.

Gauri has always rekindled herself after each accomplishment rather than just bask in the sunshine of her last achievement.
