Sharjah Inter Emirates Cricket Tournament Winner

Grade 9 student of The Indian International School, DSO wins in the Sharjah Inter Emirates Cricket Tournament after a rigorous selection process, to make it to Sharjah U16: At The Indian International School, students do not just excel in academics, but in sports as well! The Sharjah Inter Emirates Cricket Tournament presented our students with a perfect chance and platform to exhibit true sportsmanship. Pratham Pradeep Shetty, a student from 9A was part of the coveted winning team.

Pratham is one of the proud 30 students who were shortlisted after a series of rigorous camps to constitute the U16 squad. Pratham’s success story continued as he made it to the ‘Final 11’ to play one of the four matches, for Sharjah U16.

This was a highly contested tournament with participation from four emirates - Dubai, Ajman, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Pratham was selected to play against Abu Dhabi, where he managed to get 3 glorious wickets in 5 overs. “We met Dubai in the finals again and we won by a big margin”, said an enthusiastic Pratham.
