The Indian International School – DSO campus students triumph at Mini Sports Funtasia with spectacular medal haul

The spirit of teamwork and the thrills of competing prevailed at the recently held Mini Sports Funtasia Season 8, organized by The Indian High School - Al Garhoud campus.

The inter-school competition saw schools from around the UAE battle it out in cricket, football, table tennis, badminton, basketball and chess.

The Indian International School – DSO campus registered an applause-worthy medal haul at Funtasia! The junior boys’ basketball team clinched a gold after a series of thrilling matches. They triumphed over IHS with a score of 10-6, secured another victory against GEMS Legacy School with a score of 14-9, and emerged victorious against DPS Sharjah with a score of 9-3.

The winning boys’ basketball team consisted of Kanav Jindal (4B), Mohd. Roushan Khan (4D), Mihit Gahlot (4A), Vien Hada (4H), Shivansh Bajpai (3A), Aarav Sharma (2G), Kartikey Suthar (3A), Shivansh Adhikari (2H), Advik Sharma (4G), Sri Govind Anshuman (3G), Musa Saqib Sara (4I), and Jeshwanth Kumar (4C).

In a stunning individual achievement to add to his team’s win, Musa Saqib Sara of 4I won the ‘best shooter’ award.

Our shining stars triumphed in other sports too. Mihit Gahlot of 4A secured a silver medal in table tennis (boys’ singles), while Samarth Pandit of 4A won a bronze medal in badminton (boys’ singles).
