The Indian International School-DSO secures 3rd Spot at the Strategic Startup Showdown!
Innovation met determination, resulting in a 3rd prize for The Indian International School, DSO at the Strategic Startup Showdown, hosted by Shining Star International School, Abu Dhabi.
Under the theme “Innovative Business Ideas for a Sustainable Future,” student teams from across the UAE competed to build a sustainable business – complete with market analysis, product development, and financial planning.
Representing IIS DSO were five Grade 11 students: Mannan Harish Mewani, Esther Carolyn Paul Yasarpu, Chelsea Hannah Siju, Ragya Chhetri, and Amisha Vinodh. Their business pitch stood out for its originality, practicality, and clear link to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. They worked through multiple rounds of ideation, feedback, and revision to present a polished, thoughtful solution that earned appreciation from judges and peers alike.
This achievement reflects the school’s continued efforts to encourage students to think independently, work as a team, and develop ideas that can make a meaningful difference in the real world.
