A sun-sational win: IIS, DSO secures top spot at Project Design Space 2025
- Date March 29, 2026

The Indian International School, DSO, redefined sustainability at the recently concluded Project Design Space Competition 2025 and emerged victorious with a first-place finish. Hosted by the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI), the competition challenged high school students across the UAE to design real-world solutions for prominent industry clients.
The challenge presented to the team was posed by Amazon Web Services (AWS) to design a solution that shows how photovoltaic (PV) systems can help data centres in the UAE reduce power consumption. Team Audax, comprising Sidkisha Ahilesh (grade 10D), Sanvi Sisodia (grade 10G), Sia Gupta (grade 10D), Dhanya Hari Sobha (grade 10A), and Nehal Choudhury (grade 10C) – delivered a scalable and sustainable PV integration model tailored to the UAE’s unique energy landscape, that stood out for its originality, feasibility, and real-world relevance.
Their win highlights the school’s commitment to experiential learning and innovation, along with students’ ability to transform academic knowledge into real-world applications.
We commend Team Audax for their outstanding performance and innovative spirit.
